The following, selected acts battled for the Sydney Blues Society Performer of the Year 2004 award on Saturday, 9th October 2004 at the Empire Hotel, Annandale Sydney:

Each act was asked to perform for a maximum of 30 minutes, and was judged by 5 independent people from the radio and music industry, based on Talent, Blues Content, Originality, Stage Presence, and Overall Impression.
